Attorney Janet D. Hartman

        Janet Hartman practices in the areas of real estate and property law, land use, estate planning, and business law.  Ms. Hartman is also a title agent providing a variety of title services, including title insurance. 


        Janet Hartman received her Juris Doctorate from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University where she concentrated her studies in the area of real estate, land use, and environmental law.  Ms. Hartman also holds Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees from the University of Florida.  Her educational background includes computer science and mathematics which provide the foundation for her ability to solve problems.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Hartman was a professor of computer science at Illinois State University and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and is the author of numerous articles in computer science education.. 


        Janet Hartman is a current member of the Martin County, Florida, and American Bar Associations, a past member of the Justice Major B. Harding American Inns of Court, a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and a member of the Real Property Council of Martin County.  

Education and Legal Background

Janet has bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in mathematics from the University of Florida.  She earned a Juris Doctorate from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University, where she concentrated in real estate, land use an environmental law.  Her educational background has been instrumental in solving her clients' legal problems.  

Professional Experience

Before becoming an attorney, Janet was a professor computer science teaching at the University of Evansville, Illinois State University and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.  served as a professor of computer science at Illinois State University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
